Hi everyone - Shelly Covert here ,,..,

Wow, what a trip it has been getting our newest exhibit up in 'UBA SEO. It's heavy but beautiful. I really hope you will take the time and drop in - and see this amazing work.

I will be hosting a few VIP tours during NIsenan Heritage Month/Day. The VIP tours will be my offering to CHIRP's fundraiser. Who should sign up for my tour? Hopefully friends, family, and/or those who want to know more about my perspective on building the exhibit. Please keep an eye out for a link this month where you can sign up and participate with me.

It is not a blame exhibit. It is a TRUTH exhibit. It's my deep desire that seeing all that has happened to our Tribe and many others, that you can leave the exhibit not feeling totally bummed out.,. but rather ,., ready to help change the injustices that linger even still... here in almost 2022. It's got to change.

My heart and mind are a bit overloaded as I continue to understand things on deeper and deeper levels. I feel a little of my happy Shelly is compromised and a little more of ...... geez I don't even know what to call it... serious Shelly? Is taking root. (probably not though hah. )

Anyway, keep an eye out for my VIP offers. Maybe I'll share some wine (or whine depending on the mood), a little bite of food, and take a few groups on a VIP "backstage" run of the exhibit this month. Can't say it will be as fun as my usual backstage passes (music-oriented) but it will be what is needed.

ps - very very very special SHOUT OUT to Mira Clark and Ruth Chase for hanging this exhibit (with help from Iona and Ember) I think it looks marvelous. You made my vision a reality.
